A Gonstead practioner's office creates a unique environment with diverse services. Our team is fairly straightforward in our approach; however, we prioritize utmost specificity and concern for bettering our patients health. We do not treat symptoms, but rather treat the cause of the issue. The symptoms are useful to gather, collect, and give us as much information about each patient as possible; however, in the grand scheme we are focused on relieving pressure off of the nerve. Our services allow our patients to function at optimal capacity and get you back doing what you love.

Even Children need their nervous system to be checked. The birthing process is just as traumatic on them as it is on the mother.

Neck Pain

Today's society is extremely technologically driven and this creates poor posture. This posture creates what many are terming 'text neck.' This can be produced from several things such as poor desk posture, texting, as well as many other causes. Through chiropractic, we look to provide instruction on proper posture as well as getting the structure of the patient's spine to function properly.

Low Back Pain

As one of chiropractics notorious claims to fame are patients presenting with low back pain of various sorts. Here at Gonstead Family Chiropractic, we are looking to not just get the patient out of the pain stage, but to get the structure of their spine to move and function as it should. We would rather fix the cause and look towards prevention rather than just patch up the pain.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, the female body chemistry, as well as the structure of her body, is dramatically changing. Through chiropractic care, we seek to help maintain homeostasis of both her body chemistry as well as keeping her structure and nervous system functioning at its best.

Whiplash

Whiplash can occur from as little as 5 mph collision. It does not have to occur only in automobile accidents, it can also be related to sports injuries. If you are concerned with whiplash in any fashion, chiropractic seeks to help alleviate your pain while also creating stability as well as inducing motion into the area of the spine where the motion has been altered.

Golf

Here in Southern California, golf is something that many of us play year around, however, how many of us consider what it is doing to our bodies? Have we not seen how it can truly wreak havoc on your body via Tiger Woods. Sure he has had several other issues as well, but up to this point, it has been well documented that he sought chiropractic care to even be able to play at the level in which he has for so many years prior. The torsion the swing puts in our spine creates quite the altering of functional movement.

Disc Issues

We have all heard of a "blown disc" or various terms referring to some sort of disc issue. There are several forms of disc issues in which that could be referring to. As depicted above, there are several disc issues that can arise. We deal with each of those on a regular basis. Chiropractic seeks to improve the motion of the spinal segments, then looks to maintain that motion to help alleviate disc issues. We can also determine if the disc issue is out of the realm and deem necessary for the patient to seek further consultation and will let the patient know that as well. Sometimes these disc issues can also produce sciatic type pains, which is creating pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Some of the common issues that we see within our office are:
